Collaborative Education Initiatives

We use a collaborative, interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach to develop a wide range of education initiatives.  These initiatives are determined on an ongoing basis via conference evaluations, focus groups, telephone surveys and agency interviews, committee meetings and partnerships.  All programs and projects are developed and delivered collaboratively and in consultation with partners, community and committee members, and research associates of CERAH.

Collaborative education initiatives have included a series on aging and aging-related issues with the North West Community Care Access Centre, dialogue education in collaboration with the North West Dementia Network, U-First! training, Montessori Methods of Dementia, Gentle Persuasive Approaches, and other initiatives.

We also are pleased that Lakehead University offers an Interdisciplinary Certificate in Dementia Studies.
